The Circle: Exploring Self, Imagining Community Through the Ring Shout
April 13, 2017, 3:00-6:00 PM, Jackson Dance Lab

Using the Africanist circle known as the "Ring Shout" as inspiration and point of departure, visiting dance scholar, Dr. Carl Paris will lead an experiential workshop, exploring ways in which the expressive body and use of text can “imagine” community and social justice.
