Gibson Alessandro Cima is a Visiting Lecturer at Tufts University and a former Post-Doctoral Fellow at Tshwane University of Technology in Pretoria, South Africa. He has presented his research on the influence of the anti-apartheid theatre on post-apartheid and global stages at the American Society for Theatre Research, The Association for Theatre in Higher Education, The International Federation for Theatre Research, and Performance Studies International. His article "Sarafina! in Black and White, Revival, Color-Conscious Casting, and New Social Cohesion Paradigms," appeared in the fall 2014 issue of South African Theatre Journal. "Resurrecting Sizwe Banzi is Dead: John Kani, Winston Ntshona, Athol Fugard, and Post-apartheid South Africa" appeared in the fiftieth anniversary issue of Theatre Survey and has been cited in the second edition of Theatre Histories edited by Gary Williams.
