Biography

As a triple Jumbo, Megan is honored to be returning to Tufts as a visiting faculty member this year. She is currently a Lecturer in Theatre Studies at Boston College, where she teaches Introduction to Theatre and Performing Politics Lab. Megan has also taught courses at Northeastern University and Pine Manor College, and for her previous work as a teacher and mentor at Tufts, she has twice received awards for Outstanding Contribution to Undergraduate Education.

Megan's primary areas of research include Arab and Muslim American plays and performances, feminist theatre, and musical theatre. She has presented papers at various national and regional conferences including ATHE, ASTR, and NeMLA, and is currently working on her first book, tentatively titled Resistance and Revision Through Performance: Arab and Muslim American Theatre After 9/11. Her work has been published in Studies in Musical Theatre, Theatre Journal, and Journal of Dramatic Theory and Criticism.

Prior to pursuing her doctoral degree, Megan was an assistant agent in the Theatre Department of the William Morris Agency (now WME) in New York. She has also worked at the Roundabout Theatre Company and the American Repertory Theater.
